It is already a preferred destination for BSKY Smart Health Card holders as well as for the Matrujyoti program, because of their quality medical services being provided with all modern medical facilities and the availability of specialists & experienced medical teams.
In another milestone, JP Hospitals is now also empanelled with Odisha Govt. as a Trauma Care Centre for providing free treatment to any Road Traffic Accident(RTA) patients for the first 48 hours., irrespective of their economic status, from Free Treatment For Trauma Fund(FTTF)
This is to further ensure a comprehensive trauma care initiative to reduce road accident deaths and associated injuries for the people of Western Odisha as these have become a major public health concern in the entire State.
Under this provision, the patient suffering from Trauma due to RTA shall be picked up by any private or public ambulance or vehicle or by a good Samaritan and taken to empanelled Trauma Care Centre like JP Hospitals, Rourkela. This Trauma Care Centre will start immediate & appropriate treatment and intimate the nodal body of this program of such arrival for necessary consent & paperwork as deemed necessary.
Now at the end of 48 hours from the time of admission, if the patient requires further continuation of treatment beyond 48 hours, it is to be continued by informing the patient or patient’s attendant of the charges and cost to be incurred for further treatment or else as per govt’s directives, he/she will be referred to a govt hospital. If a patient is covered under BSKY or any other health insurance policies, then post 48 hours, the same treatment shall continue as per the respective BSKY directives or their insurance / TPA policies. This JP Trauma Care Centre is a big step for the benefit of the people of this region as now people have a financial cushion during the most critical golden period for the RTA patients. This will surely save many lives from RTA.
