JP HOSPITAL ENTERS 5TH YEAR OF SUCCESSFUL OPERATION WITH MORE THAN 3.5 LAKHS PATIENTS VISITING ITS VARIOUS OPDs

Jaiprakash Hospital & Research Centre Pvt Ltd, Rourkela completed its 4 years of successful operation on Dec 22, 2023 and entered into its 5th year of operation with the tag of the best multi-speciality hospital of Western Odisha.

JP Hospital – a 300-bed multi-specialty tertiary care health service provider – is an NABH & NABL accredited and empanelled with ESI, BSKY, FTTF and other major Health Insurance & TPA service providers.This ensures that any person irrespective of income, can avail of treatment at JP Hospital, which is build on the premises to provide “Quality Healthcare At an Affordable Price” to one and all. Besides Main Hospital at Dandiapali, Rourkela , JP Hospital also has a City Centre Branch each at Uditnagar and Rajgangpur.

This 4th Anniversary Celebration – “SAMARPAN 2023”- organized by JP Hospital & Research Centre Employees’ Welfare Association ( JEWA) was marked by a week long events where its employees & their families participated in various competitions like Song, Essay Writing, Rangoli, Mehendi , Dance, Fancy Dress etc.Winners were felicitated and given prizes. The anniversary celebration started with welcome address & keynote address by Chief Guest & Special Guests invited for this special occasion followed by prize distribution, cultural programs, etc.The highlight of this program was handover of a first of its kind -JP Most Talented Student Of The Year Award 2023 – selected through a written test in the month of Nov’2023 and interview round held on Dec 10,2023.This scholarship program was held for School Students ( 8th, 9th& 10th Classes) of the region. This year there were 11 scholarship awards of value INR 101000.00 ( One lac one thousand only).The winners were Mohit Panda of Ispat English Medium School, who won 51000/ as scholarship amount. Other 10 winners of 5000/ each scholarship amount were Amit Kumar Sahu(Dr.ANK DAV Public School), Sritika Mishra(DPS), Suryansh Singh(DPS), Sushree Ayushi Sangram Singh (DPS), Kathith Kumar (DPS), Nilesh Parhi (Dalmia Vidya Mandir), Sruti Priya Pradhan (Dr ANK DAV Public School), Anurit Pattnaik (St Paul School), Adrik Dutta (St.Paul School) and, Priyam Prayas Mishra (St Arnold’s School). Other notable winners were P Srinibas for Prabir Guha & Mahima Supriya Most Dedicated Employee Award 2023, Moushumi Pattnaik for JP Best Employee of the Year Award 2023 &Himanshu Sekhar Dash winning the JP Ratna Award for his immense & valuable contribution to JP Hospital along with 3 Special Achievers Award 2023 given to Biswaranjan Dash , Farheen Imtiaz and, Ruby Kumari Ramdas.

Under JP Education Aid 2023, 19 children of JP employees were given the education aid worth 200000.00 ( Two Lacs Only) on the basis of their merit. For Badminton competition following were the winners : Men’s Single – Sourav Barik and Dr. Md. Shad as Runners-up; Men’s Double: Umesh Chandra & Dr. Md. Shad with Sunil Oram & Suraj Prasad as Runners-up; Women’s Single: Neha Das & Rani Jit as Runners-up and, for Mixed Double: Sourav Barik & Asima Bara with Purna Tanty & Neha Das as Runners-up.

Chief Guest for this Samarpan 2023 event was Sri Sarada Prasad Nayak, Honorable Minister, Labour & Employment Govt. Of Odisha and Special Guests included Sri Binay Toppo Chairman, Sundergarh Development Committee, Sri Sunil Kayal President RCCI , Rourkela, Sri Bhawanishankar Bhoi Honorable MLA Talshara, Rev. Bishop Kishore Kumar Kujur Rourkela, Sri Pawan Sultaniya from Jharsuguda, Haaji Abdul Saeed from Sundergarh and, Smt. Emma Ekka Ex President ZP, Presisent BMJD. RKL. Org.Dist., Sri Praveen Garg Ex-President RCCI and, Sri Suresh Sharma Social Worker.Others present were Mr. Sanjay Bansal Chairman, Dr. Chandan Bansal Managing Director, Dr. D K Mishra CEO & President JEWA , Dr Debasish Patnaik Medical Superintendent of JP Hospital, Dr S K Mahaptra Deputy Medical Superintendent, Dr Biswajit Mohapatra OT Superintendent, Ms.Swapnarani Jena NS along with other Consultants, Medical Officers, HODs & Incharges.

During last four years, JP Hospital witnessed unprecedented flow of patient in all the departments .During this period JP Hospital at 3 of its location – Main Hospital, Dandiapalli, City Centre Uditnagar and Rajgangpur witnessed more than 3.25 lakhs patients visiting various OPDs of JP Hospital to seek medical advice & in IPD handled more than 27000 admission. All major Corporate entity, Institutions and Industrial Units has tied up with JP Hospital for providing healthcare services to their employees like NIT Rourkela, TRL Krosaki Refractories Ltd., Triveni Earth Movers, IFGL,Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.,Dalmia Cement, Dalmiya Refractories, Rourkela District Police, Sundergarh District Police, NTPC, Railways, JSW etc.

In JP Hospital Path Lab, which is NABL accredited, more than 9 lakh samples were tested, another achievement in its fourth year of operation.24000 CT Scan; 8000plus MRIs; Close to 45000 USG and more than 60000 X-rays were done in the Radiology Department which is touted as one of the best radiology service providers in Odisha.In modular OTs of JP Hospital 11000 plus surgeries including many critical ones, have been performed.

The Cardiac Science Department of JP Hospital, which also has 1st Cathlab of the region, saw many Cardiac patients being treated successfully. 1st Open Heart & Bypass surgeries of the region was done at the hospital.37000 plus ECG & close to 11000 2D ECHO were done by the Cardiac Science Department during the period. 2100 plus life-saving cathlab procedures has been performed during last years.Here specialist cardiac team is available on 24X7 basis, along with emergency services.

JP Hospital has become a preferred choice of treatment for BSKY Card holders.Since JP Hospital covers almost all the major departments under BSKY, patients are finding it convenient to come here as all medical facilities & treatments are available under single roof and is the cleanest & infection free healthcare provider of the region.More than 16000 BSKY card holders have availed cashless treatment at JP Hospital including many eye patients. The hospital has been conducting multiple free eye-check-up camps through mobile eye-checkup mode in association with JP Trust at different locations in the region. Till now more than 300 eye camps has been held & more than 1 lakh persons have been screened for eye problems with 10000 plus people identified with eye problems. More than 60000 free eyeglasses has been distributed to the people. This is a major achievement for Jaiprakash Hospital which is committed towards playing its role in improving the health of society through different channels.

JP Hospital is the only hospital in Western Odisha to be empanelled for FTTF for providing up to 48 hours of free treatment for RTA ( Road Traffic Accident) victims. More than 600 road accident victims’ lives have been saved.

JP Neurosurgery Department also witnessed a flow of patients not only from Rourkela but also from adjoining states due to its better treatment facilities.

It is the only Hospital in the entire region where General Bed has an attached bed for patient attendants which is being provided free, including complementary bedding& blankets.

Many of the surgeries done at JP Hospital is at almost half of the prices being charged at cities like Bhubaneswar, Ranchi, Kolkata etc and even less than many Nursing Homes. Many prominent persons of the region including even Doctors, chose JP Hospital as their preferred destination for any of their healthcare issues for themselves or for their families.

JP Hospital has started offering its DNB & ISCCM courses to doctors in 2022. The diplomate qualification(DNB) awarded by the National Board of Examinations is equated with the postgraduate and post-doctorate degrees awarded by other Indian Universities for all purposes. JP Institute of Education & Erudition(JIEE) for imparting training in Nursing, DMLT, DMRT and, other Allied Medical Courses is also going to start soon.
