JP Hospital Rourkela has been conducting multiple health workshops on various health-related topics regularly for creating health awareness among all sections of people. Towards this another comprehensive free workshop on ‘Healthy Pregnancy’ was conducted at the ‘Dhanavantari’ hall on 18th June 2023.
The main participants of the program were pregnant women in and around the region, who had registered themselves to participate in this program. The workshop which stretched nearly up to two hours included the main subject of Pregnancy Care. The highlights of the program were a discussion on complete pregnancy care, nutrition for pregnant women, timely vaccination, correct posture to adapt during various phases of pregnancy, and deep insight and understanding of the changes in lifestyle during pregnancy for a better understanding of the body and its needs during pregnancy.
The expert panel constituted of JP Obs & Gynae Consultants including Dr. Stuti Khare, Dr. Sujata Kumari, Dr. Piyush Bansal, and DNB doctors Dr. Gunjan Singh and Dr. Vinita Sahu. The workshop included an expansive questions and answers session between the doctors and the audience on diversified points which started with Dr. Stuti Khare educating the audience on topics such as pregnancy education, nutrition, warning signs, etc. Facilities provided to pregnant patients through JP Hospital like the BSKY card facility and Ultrasound were covered by Dr. Piyush Bansal, who also shared his views about the importance of teamwork between doctors present in different departments of JP Hospital to handle any such case that comes to the hospital. Further, the session was carried over by Dr. Sujata Kumari who took up the topic of Do’s and Dont’s during pregnancy, topics of sickle disease awareness, and the importance of routine check-ups during pregnancy.
Finally, the program was concluded with a high-tea arrangement for the participants by JP Hospital.
