Jaiprakash Hospital, Rourkela along with its contribution to the field of patient care has also been contributing wholeheartedly towards the advancement of medical aspirants. In continuation with this endeavour, in association with API Rourkela, the hospital recently conducted ‘Odisha’s 43rd APICON 2023 Pre Conference Workshop’ in its Convention Centre premises on 24th November 2023. APICON is one of the biggest scientific conferences for Physicians of India in the field of healthcare providing a common forum for the Physicians to meet and share experience and research observations in the field of Medicine.
The Chairperson API Rourkela Dr. Shravan Kumar Pradhan contributed his presence during this event. The inauguration of the event was done by the Chief Guest Col. and Dr. Sajal Sen, CEO of Apollo Hospital, Rourkela. The event began with his speech during which he laid stress on organizing more such events in future at Rourkela because of the well-equipped infrastructure that Rourkela has achieved in the past years. Secondly, he laid emphasis on the importance of such events which contributes to more awareness, facts and findings for the medical aspirants increasing their expertise level.
The participants of this event were PG students from the field of Medicine from all over Odisha, DNB students of Jaiprakash Hospital and prestigious APICON members and delegates including Dr K.C. Mahanto, Dr M. Chotoray, Dr G.C. Patri and Dr. Chandan Bansal and Dr. B.K. Kakkad from the hospital’s management. They also presented their views and lauded Jaiprakash Hospital for organizing such events on a regular basis.
The event included three major Workshops, Workshop-I on Cardiology based on ECG and ECHO topics explained by experienced and well-versed cardiologists Dr. Milan Satapathy and Dr. Trilochan Agarwala, Workshop-II on Critical Care and Ventilators explained by Consultants Dr. Debasish Panda and Dr. Mayurdhwaja Rath and Workshop-III on Neurology explained by Dr. Premanand Panda and Dr. D. R. Tripathy.
