JP Hospital in association with IAP conducts BLS training for healthcare workers

Continuing its efforts towards building a healthy society, JP Hospitals, Rourkela in association with the Indian Academy of Pediatrics – Sundergarh Branch – successfully conducted a workshop on Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare professionals on Sunday, May 14, 2023, in Dhanwantri Hall of JP Hospital.

With the increase in the rate of cardiac arrest occurring in the relatively young population group, the role & significance of BLS becomes very important for the well-being of our society, which is already reeling under the presence of post-covid symptoms including cardiac diseases. Basic Life Support, or BLS, generally refers to the type of care that first responders, healthcare providers, and public safety professionals provide to anyone who is experiencing cardiac arrest, respiratory distress, or an obstructed airway.

More than 50 participants including doctors, nurses, and other healthcare workers participated with faculties coming from all over the state for imparting this BLS training.
