The patient who underwent the thousandth cardiac procedure is a 48 years old male from the Panposh area of Rourkela on whom a successful
PTCA, or percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty, which is a minimally invasive procedure that opens blocked coronary arteries to improve blood flow to the heart muscle, was conducted. This has given hope to thousands of cardiac patients of effective treatment & world-class services available at JP Hospital.
The most important feature of the JP Cardiac Science Department is that doctors are available 24X7 basis and are well-equipped to perform any life-saving procedures on a round-the-clock basis. This facility is not available even in the best hospitals in bigger cities also.
