Jaiprakash Hospital & Research Centre Pvt Ltd., Rourkela, is continuously looking to play an important role in the healthy being of society by launching different health-oriented programs targeting different sections of society. Towards this, JP Hospital initiated another health-oriented program “JP Bal Mitra” on April 03, 2023, targeting school-going children, their parents, and teachers.
JP Bal Mitra aims to develop the physical, mental, and spiritual health and well-being of the children through quality health education, awareness, and health camp programs. This will motivate students to improve and maintain their health and prevent diseases.
Through this JP Bal Mitra program, a JP Team comprising medical & paramedical members will visit various schools for identifying various health problems faced by the children with respect to mental health, pediatrics, ENT, Ophthal, Obs & Gynae, Dentistry, Ortho and, general well-being. This program shall be done in four different quarters of the year and in each quarter, the participating schools can choose a particular activity/topic which they want to be conducted in their school, from a list provided by JP Hospital like Immunization Awareness, Nutrition & Child Growth, Common Illness, Stress & Anger Management, Substance Addiction, Menstrual Hygiene & Its Importance, etc.
Each school can choose one topic per quarter – 4 topics/activities per year. No charges will be taken from any schools for this program, to be conducted on a Free of Cost (FOC) basis by JP Hospital, at the respective school’s designated place. All schools need to register for this JP Bal Mitra program confirming the date and the chosen activity/topic.JP team will coordinate and implement the same as per the convenience of respective schools. If a student comes to JP Hospital for treatment through this JP Bal Mitra program, they will be given a 10% discount as a token of gesture on OPD consultation, investigations, and procedures through a special discount coupon created for them.
This launch program held at JP Convention Centre was anchored by Dr.Rajani Verma JP Consultant Psychiatrist & coordinated by Ms.Tandra P Mishra HOD JP CRBD Department & team comprising Mr.Shantanu Rout & Mr.Krishna Das.

Other guests present at this launch program of JP Bal Mitra were the Principal of Deepika English Medium School Rourkela Mr.Pravin Kumar Sharma, Principal of Sai Valley World School Rtn. Bhagaban Parhi and representatives from Gurunanak Public School Rourkela, Kendriya Vidyalaya Bondamunda, etc.
Dr.Debasish Patnaik, Dr. S K Mahapatra, Dr.Nishu Bansal, Dr.Ghanashyam Mandal, Dr.Indu Biswal, and Dr.Prabir Roy shared their views on the status of children’s health today and how we can improve their health with inputs from their respective teachers & parents. Dr.Chandan Bansal Managing Director of JP Hospital along with Dr.Rabi Kumar, Dr.Piyush Bansal, Dr.Debendra Sha, Dr.Suchitra Sahu, and Dr.Santosh Mishra was also present at this gathering.
