JP Hospital Rourkela has always been a front-runner in ensuring that it has a well-planned fire safety mechanism in place and well-maintained firefighting equipment to ward off fire-induced casualties and damage to assets, in case of any eventualities. Towards this JP Hospital Fire Safety Department regularly conducts fire drills.
A fire drill in JP Hospital is intended to ensure by means of training and rehearsal in event of a fire. i) The people who may be in danger act in a calm and orderly manner. ii) Where necessary, those designated carry on their allotted duties to ensure the safety of all concerned.
A Fire Mock Drill was conducted at Jaiprakash Hospital on 22.03.23 from 11.21 AM to 11.43 AM. Staff Members from all departments participated in it effectively. Officers and crew members from the Local Fire station supervised the drill under the guidance of Mr. Amrendra Bardhan Fire Station in-charge & Mr. Krutibas Sahoo Fire Station officer. A president awardee for excellence in civil defense, Mr. Pramod Kumar Dalai was present to inspire and guide us.
Dr. Suchitra Sahoo graced the occasion as the chief observer. Mr. Debashis Dash inspired the participants as the team leader of Fire Safety. The code red and code orange situations were handled safely as per good practice. The R-A-C-E formula was employed under the capable guidance of Mr. Parameswar Bihari, HOD Fire Safety.
